Lucy B

YAY! I did it!! This is #31 of 31 paintings this month! That felt good!

I'm so relieved to have achieved my Painting Goal this month! I'm almost sorry to be leaving soon to focus on caricatures in September. I really got into my groove this last week!

This Lucy's real name is Lucille because according to her human, she's "a bossy readhead." She lives at Sandy Grove Ranch in Leesville TX, and had a super cute fluffy calf this year (who I did not have a chance to photograph, darn.) The ranch keeps Highland cows, Belted Galloways, Kunekune pigs, chickens, ducks and some barn cats. I've been lucky to have been able to visit and photograph their animals as references over the years!
