Little park trails always draw me in. Each step feels like a dialogue with nature, where the past settles quietly behind me, the present surrounds me in color and light, and the future glimmers ahead with unknown promise. When I paint from my photos and memories, I feel alive and drenched in that sense of possibility.
This little painting started as a demo for the Maryland Pastel Society, and was finished recently in my studio.
