Here's one of my old favorites. This is a sky painting I did from my hotel room window during the first Plein Air convention in 2012. I had been attempting a painting of the distant mountains, half-obscured by rolling cloud patterns, but when I finally tired of keeping up with this changing view, I rolled my eyes in frustration and caught sight of the breaking clouds above!
