November 2017

Happy Thanksgiving month to all of you! I'm certainly thankful for all the opportunities, talents, and business that I've been blessed with this year.

Wurstfest

Speaking of opportunities, I'll be helping out my friend and fellow caricature artist Ryan Foerster at New Braunfels famous Wurstfest this year.

The event's established long-time caricaturist Harry Schneider has finally retired, and - fingers crossed - I may have a shot at that honor for next year!

Meanwhile, Ryan got in with the facepainter, and I'll be there helping on the final weekend, Nov 10-12.

This year's Wurstfest runs from Nov 3-12, 2017. Prosit!

30-in-30!

Yes, I'll be attempting another 30-Paintings-in-30-Days challenge for November again. I was doubtful (still am) but I desperately need the kick in the ... rear right now, and hey, I've sort of got the first two done already, so we'll see! There's nothing like making a public declaration of intent for pushing motivation!

For those of you who don't know, this will be my 4th November to complete this challenge, and my 5th time at it, including September of 2014.

"Art-making has an alchemical effect on the imagination. It awakens the senses and sharpens insights, teaching us to think in symbols, metaphors, and to de-code complexity, so we can perceive the world in new ways."

~ Linda Naiman
