Rita Kirkman Studio - Art News

The weather is cooling down, and the Holidays are around the corner. After a very busy summer, I've taken about a week "off", then right back into the fray! Read on about the shows and festivals this month keeping me busy!

Bayou City Art Fest - Houston

Yes, downtown Houston is back on its feet and working hard to make this nationally recognized annual fine art festival a great success!

I'll have new work in booth 612 on Bagby Street.

Come out and support Houston and the arts and spend a weekend finding the perfect paintings or other works of art for yourself, your family, or as gifts!

New Work at the Gallery at Round Top

On my way back from up north last month, I was able to stop by the Gallery at Round Top and drop off some more work.

Several of my most recent small works are now there, as well as a couple mid-sized paintings like Twin Fawns II (on the left) and George the goat.

A batch of my little mini sunsets too!

Enjoy a trip to tiny, friendly Round Top, Texas this fall. You'll be glad you did!

Speaking of The Gallrey at Round Top, their fall themed show, Fusion, promises to be creative and unique!

My piece "Gypsy" will be included among other selected works inspired by or based upon musical themes.

The show will run Oct 21 - Nov 11, so will be a wonderful addition to your visit to Round Top's annual Wine Festival November 4th, with an Art After Dark event Friday November 3rd from 5-8pm.
