Rita Kirkman Studio - Art News

One Crazy Deal, the IAPS Web Show, and other fun news this month! Scroll down for more!

The Crazy Discount is Back!

Every Christmas Season I and my talented team of artists participate in a Fine Craft Show at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, offering Detailed Pencil Portraits as well as Quick-Sketch portraits and caricatures. When the international success of over 30 years of commission work led to higher portrait prices, I found I had out-priced much of my local clientele.

Last Season, in an effort to put a shot of adrenaline in the Holiday sales books, we came up with a ridiculously amazing Special Holiday Offer for all Pencil Portrait Orders!

Last year's Crazy Holiday Craft Show discount of 50% off all Pencil Portraits was a frightening concept, but because of all you wonderful deal-loving clients, we had an unbelievably successful season, almost doubling our sales from 2015!

So We're Doing it Again!

50% Off All Pencil Portraits!!

This will put the Quick-Sketch Portraits at what my original portraits were when I came to Texas, and the Detailed Portraits will once again be as low as they were 8 years ago!

We really love this Holiday Craft Show that has been a part of our business for so many years. And we really love the opportunity to make you happy with a hand-drawn portrait of your loved one or pet. And we want to keep this opportunity affordable for more people, at least at this time of year.

Don't Wait! Order Now!

This insane deal is happening only during the Christmas Craft Show at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, December 8-24, 2017.

Place your order early and beat the rush! When our schedule fills up we'll be overflowing the completion dates into January, so if you need something for Christmas, don't wait!

You, my online subscribers, can order now and get your portraits into the queue early! (If you will need it shipped back to you, better factor that in!)

(Don't forget to cut all these prices in half when measuring your budget! :)

Email rita@ritakirkman.com with any questions, and simply attach your desired photo and tell us what you want! It's that simple!

The fine print:

ALL Pencil Portraits really are 50% off the regular posted price on my ritakirkmandrawings.com website! This deal absolutely ends at 6pm CST on December 24. Standard shipping delivery in the US for Christmas cannot be guaranteed for any order placed after December 12, though we will try our best. You are welcome to plan ahead for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, and just-because-you-want-it days. If we receive your photo(s) and deposit by Dec 24, you will get the deal!

NOT included in the sale are caricatures, added poems or other typing, matting and framing, or shipping.

"X O" in IAPS Web Show

Just in time for the Holidays, my recent painting "X O" (aka "Biker Santa", lol) was juried into the International Association of Pastel Societies 31st Juried exhibition, the 2017 Web Show.

("X O" returned from the Connecticut Pastel Society's Renaissance in Pastel 24th Annual National Juried Exhibition in October with the CPS Memorial Award!)

This acceptance into the IAPS show brings me one point closer to IAPS Eminent Pastelist status!

Daily Paintings November 2017 - Poster!

Last month was my fourth November in a row to complete a 30-Paintings-in-30-Days challenge. It's always a great boost to my creative drive, and my business! (Not to mention I become just a little bit of a better painter with all that constant practice!) I'm trying to figure out which other month out of the year I can add to this tradition... Just think, if I add a month each year, in just over a decade I can be a true "Daily" Painter! ;)
